Font Dijital Medya Personal Data Protection Law General Information and Clarification Text

This Clarification Text aims to inform you that the personal data you provide to Font Digital Media may be processed by the Company in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law”) and the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform (“Communiqué”) in the manner and for the purposes specified in this information document. Your data may also be transferred within the scope mentioned below to the parties located in Turkey and abroad.

Notification as the Data Controller

Font Digital Media, whose corporate details are provided below, as a Data Controller under the Law No. 6698, hereby declares that your personal data will be recorded, stored, updated, disclosed/transferred to third parties (where permitted by law), classified, and processed in the ways specified by the Law.

How Your Personal Data May Be Processed

Your personal data shared with Font Digital Media, under the Law No. 6698, may be processed entirely or partially, automatically, or through non-automated means, provided it is part of a data recording system. Any operation performed on data, such as obtaining, recording, storing, modifying, reorganizing, and transferring, falls under “personal data processing” as defined in the Law.

Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Your Personal Data

The personal data you share will be processed to:

  • Fulfill the requirements of the services we provide to our customers in compliance with agreements and technology;
  • Identify transaction owners for obligations stipulated by laws such as the Law on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce No. 6563 and the Law on Consumer Protection No. 6502, as well as related regulations;
  • Prepare all necessary records and documents required for banking and electronic payment systems, electronic agreements, or paper-based transactions;
  • Comply with obligations of information retention, reporting, and information sharing required by regulations and other authorities;
  • Provide necessary information to prosecutors, courts, or relevant public officials upon request, in cases of public security and legal disputes.

Your personal data will be processed in compliance with the Law No. 6698 and secondary legislation.

How Personal Data is Collected

Personal data provided by customers who carry out transactions on the Font Digital Media website are processed under their consent and in compliance with statutory provisions.

These data may include user preferences, transaction records, IP logs, browser cookies, browsing duration, location data, and may be collected through:

  • Verbal, written, or electronic means via our sales and marketing departments, agents, distributors, physical forms, business cards, digital marketing, and call centers;
  • Indirectly from other channels, such as microsites, campaigns, and social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat);

Font Digital Media is committed to taking technical measures such as hashing, encryption, transaction logs, access management, and physical security to prevent unlawful access and ensure data protection. Any unauthorized access to personal data will be promptly reported to the Personal Data Protection Board as per regulations.

Accuracy and Up-to-Date Maintenance of Personal Data

In accordance with Article 4 of the Law No. 6698, Font Digital Media is obliged to keep your personal data accurate and up-to-date. For the Company to fulfill its legal obligations, customers must provide accurate and current data and update their information through the website or mobile application.

Rights of the Data Subject Under Law No. 6698

As of October 7, 2016, Article 11 of the Law No. 6698 provides the Data Subject with the following rights:

  1. Learn whether personal data is processed,
  2. Request information about personal data processing,
  3. Learn the purpose of personal data processing and whether it is used for the intended purpose,
  4. Know third parties to whom personal data is transferred within or outside the country,
  5. Request correction of incomplete or incorrect personal data,
  6. Request the deletion or destruction of personal data within the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law,
  7. Request notification of corrections, deletions, or destructions to third parties to whom personal data is transferred,
  8. Object to adverse outcomes resulting from exclusively automated data processing,
  9. Request compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing of personal data.

A Data Controller Representative appointed by Font Digital Media will be announced on the Personal Data Protection Authority’s registry and the website when legally required.
